how to increase speaker sound on nokia 3510i

hi all
i have nokia 3510 i phone with software version:4.01
the phone is working just fine except that the speaker sound is not good so if i call some one or some one call me i can hear people talking to me but the sound is not loud enough i tried to increase the speaker sound by pressing up-key on phone nothing change and the volume indicator is always at half level any help plz

Thats a software problem. I recommend you to flash the phone with the latest firmware or the same release you have.
