Nokia 6600 takes advantage of high speed MMCs?

    Hello

I have a Nokia 6600 and I need to buy a new MMC card for it. I would like to know if I buy a "High speed 24x 512mb MMC" the phone will take advantage of that speed?

Because for the same price I can buy a normal 1gb MMC.

    thanks

Haven't anyone tried a MMC plus on a Nokia phone and noticed if it has faster access?

Because the read/write rates are better. MMC+ has 11 MB/s read and 7 MB/s write.

No, speed doesn't matter for the phone, because the phone is so slow, that it can't even use 10% of the speed of the card.

But of course, it will be faster when transfering files to the card from PC.

    (-:

    Hi!

For what do You want 1Gb MMC?

I have 512Mb and only 300Mb are in use.

I tried to upoad all my photos, movies and mp3's but after this phone works rather slow. Not al apps, but Gallery It takes 10-20 sec to open it.

So I think 512MMC (standart speed) will be best.

    GoodLuck

    Ok, thanks for your advices

The phone is already slow with the original 32mb MMC, so that's why I was wondering if buying a faster card would help.

If the phone doesn't take advantage of a faster card, I think I will buy a cheap 512mb RS-MMC + adaptor, so that I can use in it another device in the future.

I need more space, because tom tom mobile portugal+spain takes up 150mb. I also have at least 200mb in N-Gage games. The biggest game I have occupies 65mb. And I also like to have other stuff in it.

Does anyone knows if the RS-MMC needs to be dual voltage (1.8v/3.0v) to work?
