I just bought a Samsung SCH-N330 off ebay from the states for my girlfriends birthday. I live in Canada. I had read earlier somewher that "CDMA phones do not need to be unlocked" so I didn't put any thought towards unlocking it. I went into her provider, who deals with CDMA phones, and asked him to change service to the new phone. He told me that because Aliant (the carrier) didn't know how to program that phone, they couldn't do it. He told me if I could bring the phone in with the menu up then he could do it, but he didn't know how. I scowered the internet and looked everywhere but this phone seems to be very rare. I'm prepared to do anything to get this phone working but there doesn't seem to be much I can do. I'll buy cables, software, whatever it takes. I'm somewhat of a nnob in this stuff but I have a pretty good understanding of what works on what network and what doesn't. I'm open to all suggestions, please help me out.
