Nokia 6230 - Cleaned No Power

My daughter dropped her 6230 from about 2 feet onto grass. As she bent over to pick it up she spille Tango on it. The phone has been stripped and cleaned as per Chunkheads guide. It still wont power up despite looking brand new. Any ideas apart from sell it for spares on Ebay which is where I think it will end up. Not bad to say she has her T610 stolen by one of her 'mates' in her bedroom and this was a replacement she got less than a week ago.

right first of all its not looking good for you. 6230's really dont like liquid damage, for some reason it affects them more than other models...

my advice is strip the phone down and clean the PCB with alcohol and an old tooth brush, clean it well!!

if that still doesnt do the job then it might need flashed, after a full flash if the problem persists then a reflow may be required...

my first advice is to clean it very well then take it to a shop for flashing...

Cleaned it with meths...(is that the same thing only I don't fancy chucking my beer over it), toothbrush soap and water and dried it thoroughly.....it is currently in meths again soaking. It wont even show it is charging when I plug it in, let alone turn on. I cant believe a short drop onto grass and a little bit of tango would kill it !
Is flashing expensive as I may as well sell it on ebay for spares.

might be between £10 - £20 dependin on where you go and even then it might not be fixed!! many risks with liquid damage!!

Just to share..I dont mean to disapoint U..but what Im gonna type is a fact...6230/6230i have a problem with the ram and NAND cips..only a drop is good enough to damege it...do U have any chance to try flashing it?...report
me the error here and Ill give U a point...

The screen is blank and there is no sounds at all. The phone shows nothing on screen when I charge it. No error codes....well dead.
If I take it to a phone repair shop to have it flashed it may work, but is it worth the cash as it may not work.
