I'm very pleased to all the people that reported that the procedure described on the other thread have worked perfectly in order to unlock 3120 phones on Orange UK!.
However, I think this may be important. I recently read on other thread that Orange uses two locks, 7 AND 5.
As I wrote that only try seventh code, and the phone will indeed give you a "phone restriction off" message, I will ask everybody who unlocked a 3120 on Orange UK to try another sim before thinking that the phone is correctly unlocked.
If, when you insert another sim card, the phone does not reject it but prompts for something, is that another code is needed.
Generate the seven codes with the same settings used before, take out the sim, turn the phone on, insert code 5, and try the sim again.
I sincerely appologize for the mistake and the inconveniences that this might bring to you, as when I wrote the procedure I didn't know Orange uses two locks. Maybe they use two locks on certain models (what I read was about 6100) but it's important you to know, more important to the people who will be travelling like Mr. Amon-Ra.
Best regards
