    Nokia 6101 Speaker problem

    Hi all,

I have just had in a Nokia 6101 with a call speaker problem. When you make a call phone works fine on loudpeaker but on the smaller call speaker there is nothing. I have changed the speaker for another (not confirmed new) but no change. The keypad tones don't work either. As I need to get an RJ45 for this phone i haven't tried a software flash yet.

Anybody (electro!!) seen one of these handsets with this fault and can shed any extra light. First 6101 I have had in.

    Thanks

    Adam

    hi Adam...

whats the story with the handset? is it water damaged? dropped? maybe there is liquid damage or something to the Flex Connector? i personally have never had to repair one of these units... try and get a hold of a new replacement or if you want to just send it away for a warranty repair and charge your customer for the pleasure!!!

    Hiya,

No sign of water damage but a drop might of happened as the top flip had a small crack on the side casing. Maybe a component has been shocked by a drop.

I think i will send it away as I now know that its under warranty!!

Thanks for your help........I have a 7200 to rebuild and a 7280 to flash for my own collection so that will keep me busy.

    Adam
