water damage 6630-"not charging""insert sim"

hi!
my 6630 got water damage. as I took it out of water,removed the battery and opened it to dry. opened the display,cleaned the water between the glass,dry all with the hair dryer,and mounted the phone. first there was no image,only sound. try to dry a bit more,and got the image back.. but the phone stays in offline mode. when trying to switch to online mode it says"insert sim card". the sim card is fine,tried in another phone. another problem the phone has is the charging:when pluged,it displays this message:"not charging".
any ideas of what could be?

I think you either have to get the phone "software flashed" at a nokia repair centre, or your sim card reader may be faulty. I need a bit of help here as well. My friend has not water damaged his, just one day it started saying offline. I have tried sim cards from every UK network but it will not work or go into online mode. Is this starting to become a common 6630 problem?

Ok im gonna kill two birds with one stone here and answer both of your queries.

With regards to the water damage and the not charging problems - A good start would be to take the phone apart completely and give it a good clean with alcohol or electrical cleaning solvent. This would get rid of any crap left from the water. Next you would want to reflow the chips using hot air and flux to make sure any broken bga joints were fixed. If you dont know a lot about phones i would suggest its time for a new phone.

With regards to the phone going into offline mode and not going online - The only thing i can think of is that your phone is blocked. Trying to go online will fail because the phones IMEI number has been blacklisted. You could have a go at restoring the phones original settings in the "Tools" folder. Go into settings and then into general. Other than that i dont know what else could be up.

took it to nokia center,they clean it up with some liquid that dries the whter between the board and chips.. now its fine. 100 % working. thanks
