Need Advice on Nokia 5165 - Unlock or Trash???

Hello

Can someone offer me any advice on a Nokia 5165 phone?

My neighbor gave me a old Nokia 5165 phone, but can not remember the security code. The phone says AT&T on it. Is this phone good for anything, or should i just toss it in the trash?

I saw things about reseting security codes and removing a SIM. What's a SIM and how do I remove the SIM and reset security code.

I guess I could stop at the local AT&T store? Nah....

At this point, it is about one step from the trash. The phone is not on any phone plan, but it will allow me to make collect and credit card calls and I guess 911 calls.

Sorry for the long message, but I am still in the dark ages and only have a land line at this point. Actually I was waiting for a shoe phone.... LOL
