N73 battery issue

I've a N73 music edition and its starting to drive me mad. I'm hoping theres an easy fix and someone will tell me it has a miniture battery in it somewhere. Basically if I take out the battery it resets the clock etc. Even if I just turn it off it resets the clock. Its a right pain in the backside. ANyone comes accross this and resolved it.

I'm updating the software as I write this but I doubt that will resolve the issue.
