Photographer wins an international contest

Open Bit Ltd has been awarded first place in an international Series 60 application contest arranged by Nokia. Open Bit's Photographer was the best application in Messaging category.

- The first place in highly respected contest opens us new opportunities to market Photographer internationally in events arranged by Nokia, says Mr. Arto Lehtonen, CEO of Open Bit Ltd.

160 products all over the world attended the contest. The contest categories were messaging, productivity and entertainment.

Photographer enhances the quality of images captured with Nokia 7650 mobile phones and introduces new features like digital zoom, panoramic image and several funny trick effects.

A new 2.0 version of Photographer will be available for purchase next week. New plug-ins like masks has been added to the version. The image improvement capabilities have also been optimised for the Nokia 3650 phone

I am shure, that this is NOT possible for our 7650, because the hardware is not so good like 3650. Definitive.

But if the new release enhance the quality of the 3650 - woh, the cam woult be like a Digi Cam, cause the normal quality without photographer is much better than 7650. But WITH photographer...

I've seen the assembly video of 7650 and the camera looked so small and simple that it ocurred to me if we could chaabge the camera for other with a better definition.
Can this be possible?

Go and see the instruction manual for Photographer at openbit, it says that zoom will be up to 1600% (now 400%) and the picture quality option has fourth level, something like "exellent" or "very high". Those updates should be available for 7650 users. Someday...
