My phone WAS dead, but thank to help from here I got it working again. There's only one problem: When the phone is turned on, and I connect the charger it immediately displays a message 'not charging' And indeed it doesn't charge at all.
However when I turn off the phone and then connect it to the charger, it DOES work. However, the batterylevel 'dots' normally walk from the bottom to the top of the screen so you can see it's still charging, but now, only the 'battery' icon, so the lowest icon 'flashes'. Everytime it flashes the whole displays seems to be turned off and on again. You can see that from the contrast. It DOES charge this way, but it sucks when I put the thing in my carkit it doesn't charge...
