wierd problem with A800.

Hello,

i have the folowing problem; a fried of mine came with
her a800 and this phone has no menu. the phone
registers itself to the network, you can access the
phonebook and make calls but "Menu" is no longer
displayed on the screen; instead, the function keys
access the phonebook and the four "arrow" keys have
the following functionality: the "up" key will pop up
a menu from where you can select your ringtone; the
"down" key accesses the calendar; the "left" key
accesses the "Voice memo" menu and the "right" key
sends you directly into a new SMS message. That's
about all the functionality that the phone has.
Any idea why this behaivour is occuring?

Hi,Is there any way that the phone my have been liquid damaged.This can make the phone do funny things.Even a small amount of condensation can make a phone go all weird.Try flashing new software to the phone and see if that does the job.
