guy this how it goes.....
1. MCU you can flash in any phone with same version....ex. i f u have MCU 6210 v 3.04 from 200-520 (MCU ADRESS) you can flash it in any phone 6210 v 3.04 because it doesnt contain language in it.....all 3.04 mcu's are the same...also other version.........
PPM pack you dont use if u cannot calculate FAID afterwards.....
if u fucked up your phone with wrong partial....
dont flash it with MCU+PPM pack because you will not be able to connect to network and you will need FAID CALCUALTION that is not free.....
but......
if u know which PPM pack has your phone ex.pack D...then and ONLY then you can flash your phone with a full MCU+PPM pack but only ex. 6210 v 3.04 and PPM pack D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i have a soft that divides MCU and PPM from full mcu+ppm flash and then you get MCU file and PPM file..............
2. when u unlock phones by partial flashing.......
you dont need to make backup of eeprom....because you dont touch the eeprom in unlocking........
just backup the area from 250 to 300 for allmost all nokia ...only for 6210,6250 and 7110 you have to make backup from 350 to 400............
if u kill the phone by wrong unlock partial just restore the phone with the backup you made............
3. outercOre -> you are worng about the flashes from brad's site ( brad.satelit.cz )
...about cutting first 16 bytes from PPM....theese file are READY to use......
just flash it into phone from 200 (start adress-> you dont need and adress because it does it automatically....)
cutting first 16 bytes you have to do with PPM packs made by dejan 1.04 soft and box......ONLY WITH THEM........
4. when you kill a phone with a wrong backup.....-> download from previous posts the ADRESS.JPG file from yasser and you will see where the eeprom part is.....
so u will know if u killed EEPROM zone.......
if u didnt kill the eeprom zone ...everything can be made.........
ex. someone posted that he has killed 6210 3.04 by wrong backup but he made backup from 200 to 400.......
now only thing you have to is to flash it from 200-400 with another phones backup FROM 200-400 3.04....because you didnt touched EEPROM ZONE (from 5A0-600) and you didnt touch PPM PACK ZONE(from 520-5A0).......
or you can flash uit with mcu flash v 3.04 from 200-520....as you see in this example from 200-520 is MCU that you can flash in every 6210 phone with 3.04 version of mcu,from 520-5A0 is PPM PACK and you can flash it only in 6210 3.04 PPM pack that you have in your phone.......
EXAMPLE->
->you have 6210 v 3.04 ppm F(english,spanish,portuguese,greek)
you can flash it with any MCU flash that it is from 00200000 to 00520000,or backup from 00200000 to 00300000,or 00200000 to 00400000 or any backup that is BETWEEN 00200000 and 00520000.............
now....you can flash it also with full flash mcu+ppm from 00200000 to 005A0000 but only IF IT IS 6210v3.04 with PPM PACK F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
theese files you can find on brad.satelit.cz but only newer versions like 6210 v 536........
now IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. you must not flash it with different EEPROM flash .....ONLY YOUR OWN EEPROM FLASH CAN GO INTO A PART OF EEPROM ZONE in this case FROM 005A0000 to 00600000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND ALLWAYS REMEMBER THIS........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you kill phone if u deo this and u dont have backup.............NO REPAIR AVAILABLE FOR LOW MONEY OR FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. you must not flash the phone with DIFFERENT MCU VERSION(in this case 4.08,4.27 etc,etc.....) because you need to recalculate FAID after that and also it's NOT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. you must not flash it with DIFFERENT PPM PACK( in this case PPM A;B;C;D.......you can use only F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) because you will have to recalculate FAID also after flashing........and it 's NOT FREE......
4. you must not flash it with FULL MCU+PPM FLASH(in this case 6210v3.04 PPM a,b,c,d........you can use only 6210 v 3.04 PPM pack F.fls flash file.............) because you will also have to recalculate FAID....and again...-> IT'S NOT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you have in attachment adress.txt file............
theese are adresses of all most known models of NOKIA phones......
.......so when u full flash your phone because you killed it by wrong partial or wrong adress.......allways make backup of EEPROM TWICE and compare the files if they are ok..........
but only eeprom backup.....
....but when u unlock it by partial flashing....make backup of certain zone where you flashed it ......
EXAMPLE->
on 3310 partial flash is usually flashed in 00280000 start adress........
so make backup from 00250000 to 300000 that in any case you can restore this backup if u wrote 00270000 or 00260000 or 00290000 as a start adress and then your phone is dead.........
just flash the backup from 00250000 to 00300000 that u made and the phone is ALIVE AGAIN........
if u dont make backup and u killed phone..read text above that i wrote............
I HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND WHAT I WROTE SO U CAN ALL COPY THIS TEXT INTO NOTEPAD AND SAVE IT AS A TEXT FILE TO KEEP IT AVAILABLE...................
