3510 usb data cable problem pls pls help me

i have 3510 usb data cable and 3510i mobile phone.

when i'm connecting the cable to the mobile and than the usb to the computer it's all fine. the problem is that i can't turn on the mobile phone after that (it's not working).
when i take the usb off the computer and the cable is still connected to the mobile phone.. i can turn it on with no problem.

i used windows 2000 and xp, even tried two mobile phones from 2 different cellular companies. when i connect the cable to the usb port the lights on the cable is turning on (so it's alive), i don't have any problem with the drivers too.

so my question is, whta is the problem ? i'm doing something wrong ?
do i need 3510i usb data cable instead of my 3510 data cable ?

there's differnt between 3510 serial cable and usb data cable ?


please please please help me, i really don't know what to do.

Hi! I had same problems with 3510i (but I use COMport cable)
Try to connect cable when Your PC is off, than turn on Your phone and than turn on Your PC.

P.S. Try to use cable and phone with other OS (Maybe Your friends have WindowsXP or '9

* second when i first turn on the mobile phone and than the computer/or plug the usb to the computer. the cable is stuck on the blue light instead of turning all the lights that's on the cable... so this doesn't work too.

but tell me.. is there any difference between 3510 and 3510i cable ? or it's the same one ? (i use usb cable, just for remainding).
