    8210 upgrade

    I unlocked myself an 8210 v5.26,but now I want to upgrade to 5.31,can someone post the steps I must to follow for upgrading,and the hardware needed?

    Hi
    The hardware needed for your upgrade:-
    FLASHER CABLE TO FIT FONE MODEL
    MBUS " " " " "

    Software needed:-
    ROLLIS 4.7X
    8210 V5.31 SOFT SAVED TO HDD
    Eeprom tools 3.1

    Right lets get down to buisness
    1) connect the flasher cable to LPT port and to fone make sure the fone is switched off.
    2)click fone type from the dropdown list.
    3)click the write binary buffer to flsh button(red button) select 5.31 file then hit ok.(make sure start address is 200000.
    4) wen prompted press on fone button( the fone will remain turned off but flashing will start).
    5)wen finished disconnect flasher cable and connect mbus cable.
    6)open Eeprom tools and click the magnifying glass(update authority ID)
    7)click the factory checkbox to reset factory settings.
    you may also have to click the padlock.
    with a little bit of luck you will have updated your fone soft.

    tnks for your help,boldi.I have a selfmade flasher,I have schematics of mbus interface.Do you know if there´s a PCB design for mbus?.My flasher is mounted on a protoboard and I hate soldering cables here,there and everywhere(and related problems)

    Make life easy for your self and just buy the flasher cables+the data cables off the web you can pick them up pretty cheap then there should be no probs
