Cable Unlock

Firstly I have searched for help but failed to anything on this site nor others. Problem was my bros gf bought her 7250 of her uncle but unknowest do her, he had previously tried to unlock it to other networks and failed i.e. reason for selling.

I now have generated codes and entered number 7 to get the message "Cannot Undo Restriction" (along them lines anyways) meaning that the 5 tries are up.

I have a pop-port serial data cable that i use for my 7210. I have since tried this and managed to get the 7250 to reset the security lock and go into test mode but did not manage to unlock with bWinLock because the message "Cannot read phone version" (along them lines) appears.

Does anyone know why this appears?
Does anyone know a different piece of software that might be able to help?

U cannot unlock it with DKU cable (pop-port cable).
U need a data cable that connects to pins under the battery.
