    6600 transfering of .sis

I am having the newer version of 6600 but how do i exactly transfer app to my friends??
I know the newer ver disable sending of .sis and we must rename the file first in our phone before sending it over than renaming the file again when it reaches another phone with seleq or filemanager.
So this is what i did

    My phone
    E:/ --> System --> Install -->Mosquitos.sis renamed to Mosquitos.jpg than send

    Another phone
E:/ --> System --> Mail --> Mosquitos.jpg renamed back to Mosquitos.sis than open. Installation screen came out but says file corrupted

I also notice that the .sis from my phone has a smaller kb than the same file from my com.
    Any ideas???

those SIS files which locaded into: system\install folder
    ARE NOT INSTALLATION files!!
they are system files only with data(required for the un-installation)

u can do this way, but i think its easier with ZIPMAN!!

however, sending sis files from system/install folder is stupid!!
these files are not installers, as a said above!!!

oh well a sis file can only be used once either way so it doesnt matter if u delete it from ur inbox or not.
u can either send 2 sis files to the phone and install with one and send the other 1 to ur friend. or u can send one and copy it with a prog like seleq or fexplorer.

i have made a folder on my phone E:/install files (NOT E:/system/install)

and i keep the sis files there that im going to send to my friends later

so remember once u install an app the sis file will be deleted. they can only be used once

9210 have options about deleting the SIS file after instalation,
but since 7650 released, this feature disabled

you can use .sis files as many times as you want??? if you have the app allready installed it will just ask you if you want to overwrite it, if you've just removed it and want to install it again then you just install as normal

    hmm..

Y aren't you using the Nokia PC Suite? it has an install feature. so it will load the .sis files from your HD/computer. "alot easier"

and as far as sharing? you will need to use the .sis file that you installed from it's source. Looks like you are sending the 'actual' file to your phone, then installing? the first paragraph above makes the installs alot more streamlined. "provided you have bluetooth on the computer"

Even if you install the .sis file you mailed your self into the inbox, it can still be USED AGAIN. so the one in your inbox you can send to your friend. not the one in the installed directory. nor the application directory. <-- for a better lack of words, these are as j0j0 said installed files/unpacked .sis files. It would be like taking an 'installed game on your computer' then copying it directly to your friends computer. it won't work because it is not in the Operating System's/OS's registry aka self indexing of installed apps.

Sorry if sounds like i'm re-iterating everything, it didn't seem well explained to me so i thought i'd do it in my 'thinking format'.
