how can i use the "vilani" soft for my sharp gx20

I've tryed the Sharp unlocker gx20 but it destroyed my phone...
So i changed it and i want to unlock it with "Sharp_Unlocker_31" from vilani site... but when i press "connect", he tell me : ERROR...
Why ?
I'm sure that my usb data cable works, on COM 3...
What can i do ?

mate, sorry i cant help you there. i only have experience with gx10i

but, i need to know something from you

how did you make the usb cable to work in com port?

and can i do the reverse and make com cable to work in usb port?

I've three things to say u :

-I don't really use the COM port with my usb cable, but i put it in usb entry on the front of my Pc and it seems to be recognize like COM 3 by the soft Unlocker Gx20 (which destroy my other phone.... ) : i think its the driver of the cable which does that...

-The codes that u've found on the topic "sharp tuning is coming soon" works on gx20 !! So tell me how to do with gx10 maybe it will work...

- Do u know if there are Imei calculator for Sharp ?
Because when u unlock ur phone on internet, they send u a mail with these instructions :

(it's for a gx10)

The handset can only be unlocked with a Vodafone SIM card in the phone.

* From front screen type *01763*6371# ==>*01763*MEP1#
* The handset will reset back to the main Vodafone screen
* Press M button.
* Scroll to "Settings" and press SELECT.
* Scroll to "Security" and press SELECT.
* Scroll to "MEP locks" and press SELECT.
* Enter your Handset Code (the default code is 0000)*and press OK.
* Scroll to "Network" and press SELECT.
* Scroll to "Deactivate" and press SELECT.
* Enter 540906612906 and press OK
* Handset should then display DONE and be unlocked.

And i think it works with all sharp gx !

to format gx10 phone, do as it was posted. thats supposed to work. at least i used on my gx10i

I've found that on a p2p network so i cant tell you what was the imei of the phone... The model is a Sharp GX10i !
I've heard about a soft which can find the unlock code when u tell him ur IMEI but... maybe it wasnt for Sharp Gx...

Finally i unlocked it in a shop because we cant do nothing with usb cables...
to answer at ur first question, its the soft gx20_unlocker which let the choice between 10 port COM which can recognize usb entries...
But this soft is dangerous......
