Question Bet you've never seen this before!!!

Okay, I have a Mot V66 locked to O2. I have a USB FBUS/MBUS cable and a copy of the P2k software. But I run Windows XP and it doesn't like my phone - says there's a line missing from the INI file.

So I think, Windows ME will work. But I don't want to install it on a dual boot or go through the hassle of setting up another hard drive for it. So I set up a VMWare Virtual PC...

It recognises the phone. It likes the drivers. It runs the software. But the PST software doesn't find the phone! It scans for serial connections, and the phone is on Com3 - so why is there a problem?

    Clues? Anyone?

the problem is that XP has a different aproach with PC port, this means it intermediates comuniciation between PC and device atached to com port.

just use win 98 (not win me) and u will see it's working.

and yes - we have seen this before
    Bau !
