    Hi,

    almost impossible.....

    Hello

The 6225 is a CDMA phone. Those are available in two (software) versions - with active R-UIM slot or without.

The presence of the "SIM Slot" does not mean that you can just put in a SIM and use it. First of all, that SIM has to be a R-UIM - from a CDMA network! No GSM!

Then, the phone has to be re-flashed with the appropriate firmware version ("operating system") that supports the R-UIM function.

ONLY THEN you can use it with the R-UIM, but still not with a GSM-SIM!

Your version is the programmed one, like most CDMA phones in the world. They don't have a "build in SIM" but the user account data is programmed into the phone itself, and only network providers are able to change this programming, yet normally refuse to do it (such as when changing network providers, most of them "force" you to buy a new phone from them and won't program your old one to be used on their network).

If you have a "SIM" from the same network operator that you are already programmed to, make sure that it's for a CDMA network. If so, ask them nicely if they can flash your phone for you.

The provider may run both CDMA and GSM networks, so the SIM may be for GSM - and then it won't work, one way or the other.

    Kind regards.....

    your Thanh
