5140 Contact Service problem

Recently my 5140 gave me a black screen with contact service on it. wont go away no matter how many times i take out sim, battery etc. Any clues how i can repair this??????? Cheers

if your unit is still under warrenty then send it back and get it fixed Free!!! if not then its not really good news... this contact service fault can be caused by a number of things, these include faulty backup battery, faulty RF IC, corrupt flash etc... try flashing the unit, if this doesnt fix it try changing the backup battery, if not then reflow the RF IC, if not then get a new phone!!!!
