    Stolen / lost phone?

    hello all.

i just purchased new phone off ebay and i think the phone might be lost.
can I report the phone stolen via IMEI number? can the carrier block the usage of the phone? there is no SIM card but I want to see if the carrier can put a trace or block on the phone.

I wonder if the carrier can track it when they put their SIM card into the phone. Does the carrier has that capability? what If I want to buy a phone that's stolen on ebay, can I use it if they didn't report it?

yes you can report it stolen via the IMEI number as far as i am aware... the carrier WILL block the usage of the phone yes... even without a SIM the carrier will block the phone via the IMEI from ALL UK networks... if you buy a phone thats been reported stolen and has been blocked then the only way to unblobk it is to change the IMEI (ILLEGAL IN THE UK) so no you cant use it

and the networks are NOT allowed to trace a phone or give any details out to the police about you unless your suspected of a crime that warrents a jail term... so there...

i think thats all right but if anyone knows better then please let me know!!

Searching is the act of trying to find something or someone...

One may search for something that is known to exist, with the intent to locate it...

If You Post IMEI's or Code Request then READ THIS!!
