my application manager cannot remove installed application

my application manager cannot remove a recently installed game from my phone...it says that the application is open and cannot be removed...but when i check it, all applications are closed..even if i long press the menu button(it shows the applications that are open right?)...please help!!!

FIRST WHAT FONE IS IT???
You may be able to use a file explorer to delete the program. (or)
You will probably have to format your fone.
BUT you need to post the model of fone.

If its a symbian phone hold the menu key down and that will tell you what applications are open
