hi all can anyone help me i have my 8310 pinched and the cheeky buggers are using my sim card i have heard i could send a virus to disable the sim card and the phone has anybody got this software or wahtever it is i could use please

Get in touch with you network provider and tell them your phone has been stolen, you will need to know the IMEI of the handset, they will then block/barr the phone thus making it useless...........

i thought of that but i threw the box for it and dont have the imei anymore , i also phoned the provider and they told me that i would have to purchase a new sim card from them which i think is wrong and as i didnt know the imei to the phone and i could be anyone

Seems like a hard lesson learn't, should of made a note of the IMEI.......
Was it insured if so go with that, otherwise you've had it.

no insurance would have cost more than the phone was worth , this virus is called a virii or something like that have searched the net for it but to no avail someones got to have it somewhere oh well guess ill keep searching i aint bothered bout the phone or the sim but its the fact that the toerags are using my sim the cheeky gits

There's no need to know the IMEI!!
Simply tell the operator the phone number used by the SIM and it will be disabled. As for the phone, then you'd need to know the IMEI in order to block the phone (to prevent using it with other SIM cards)
Still, here in Portugal it's needed to have a declaration by the police saying that the phone was lost or stolen (file a complain)
