Will 8260 work in Asian networks

My stupid friend bought a 8260 from brazil(bellsouth). Will it work in our GSM 900 network in asia?

That phone is 100% TDMA TRI-MODE 800mhz / 1900mhz

Hope he didnt pay that much since that model is discontinued and is replaced by the 8265.

Oh! I guess I have to throw it away. Can it be used to take spares, like vibrating motors, display or keypads which can be used for other phone which are GSM standard?
