8210/8250 can't make calls.

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my 8210/8250 converted phone.

It has worked ok for the past 3 months, after being upgraded to 8250 v5.06.
Two days ago, for no apparent reason, I lost the ability to make or receive calls.
I can still send and receive text messages, and the phone still picks up and shows a full signal.

I have tried re-flashing with 8250 v5.06 and with v5.02.
I have also tried blowing the pcb with hot air, as suggested elsewhere in this forum (20 mins on full heat!)
I have tested with another sim card (still unable to make calls) and have tried my sim card in another phone (worked ok)

I am running out of ideas, and cannot find any further guidance online - does anyone have any suggestions?

Easy, it's a barred fone. You can send and receive txts because they are thru a message centre, not the network.

you were right on the money m8! - Guess that's what happens when you buy stuff from ebay.

Problem sorted now though - if you know what I mean ;-)
