The lasted version is 8250v5.06 for asian language pack. I have been modify to 8250v6.02 with Thai typing and Thai SMS.
Maybe it useful for somebody...

Guys, is it possible to put a Personalize Message Alert tone (like of that 3315 one) to a 8250 Nokia Phone?

Well i hope someday, there will be one to comeout.

you can't ...

but, you can change the sms alert tone 4 of them to ringtone....

use ppmedit or flashtone is free... but a little difficult,

if you want the easy way, you can use kxplore, but you have to buy it, because it is not free.....

Hey HANDYCRACKER2k2 8250 6.00 is not a official version!It is version 5.02 !It already modified the date and version by someone !!!U just press *#746025625# and u go to made and u will see the is 0701 and 8250 v5.02 is also 0701!!!So it is not official version!

i think you wrong mate ;) , use to be 5.06 is the lates version 8250, but now just come out version 6.00 8250...
and you can download it at thony site or napalm site ...it's official 8250 V 6.00, but only for pack J , K , L

maybe what you talking about the fone made in Warranty menu *#92702689# , mine is 0802 , and it will be still thats way 0802, because it's store in the eeprom area...

Sorry the code is *#92702689# !!!The 'made' is not store in eeprom !It is store in mcu !Here original nokia 8250 the latest software is 5.06 only not 6.00 so it is not official version

so in here 6.00 is just nothing new.

for your information ok ... to be real mine fone made was Exactly 0601 but, i flash eeprom my friends that just bought 8250 in september 2002 ....when i flash it his eeprom to my fone , my fone made change to 0802...so my fone have been regenerating / reborn (younger) ...:D for 1 year 2 month..

if only i can change my self the fone made in eeprom area, i whould like to change it to 1103 , if only we can play with eeprom Dohh;)

I think u are wrong mate the made are 100% not store in eeprom area !!!If it store in eeprom area why when i flash eeprom to my phone why that is always the same one althought i download it from different website!!!

you are flashing a virgin eeprom :D .,, all virgin eeprom are the same , Although you take it from other website.... try to take eeprom from other fone and flash it to your fone , it will be different, ok...

and the latest version is still 8250 V 6.00 ... look on thony and napalm , the other are long update their version...and always late update it......

do you ask nokia ppl what is the latest version of 8310.
for what i know the 8250 v6.xx is official releast.

LOL -- the manuf. date is the phone not the firmware! It says when the phone was made. NOT the date of the firmware release.

Interesting arugment tho... carry on :D

oops, sorry I forgot :p
It's only got Type1, Type2, Type3... no names unfortunately :(
but none of the Asian language packs (including Australia) have named ringtones... :(
