Sec code on 7650

Hi!

After playing with my new Nokia 7650, the phone is now locked! It ask me for the security code. I was changed the sec code, but the phone don't accept it ¿?. I already try 12345, 0000 .... but don't work.

I've just purchased the data cable at ucables.com (which arrives tomorrow), but I want to know if I can use this data cable and LogoManager to read the sec code and use it to unlock the phone.

Or any other ideas to unlock the phone with the data cable ? Any software?

Hi,

sorry, I can't understand that. If you change the "basic-code" from 12345 to an another comination, why accept the phone not the new? I have do this, too (the basic code is shure not a secret, cause all people know this) and it works finde.

You are shure, to press the right keys? I mean, perhaps you have choosed an another combination? Try a simmilar combi.

Final help effectiv, but very strange: You need a datacable, know how, flash-software and a copy of the latest firmware-soft.

Than you flash the firmware new and your sec code is again 12345.

Hi, you have 2 codes. First at the boot action the phone asks for the 4 digit PIN-Code. OK, you have this written at your phone description.

2. Normally, at basic, the phones boot further to the desktop (background).

BUT: If you have editet the basic Sec. code from 12345 to xxxxx? and you have activated it (at tools, phone, sec setup, point: "time to automatically lock" or "lock at SIM card exchange than the phone want an acces by this code. If you forgot them, I think, you cannot entry. But than you cant make up a backup from your pics and datas.

What shoult I advise? Try an another SIM-card or test many combinations of digits. Sorry, I have no other solution.

The final help is: Updating to the latest firmware. Than is your sec code away.

now i can't make a backup of send via IR cuz i can't enter menu !!

and i have not a cable !

i have my imei code and the serial number can do they help???

Logomanager does not work with 7650. 7650 is on a symbian platform & therefore does not work the same way as the other nokia phones.

The last phone that Logomanager reads are the non-java phone like 6510 and 3510. Phone with java like 3530, 6100, 6610 & 7210 will require another software from Logomanager which is called MobiMB but it still can't read security codes.

So far the only software which can view security codes of the phone is Logomanager. No other commercial / simple software is able to do so. Unless you go for programming / flash software. If you are able to flash it, the security code will be reseted to 12345. Or else locate the shop where you bought it from. They may have the flash SW & device. Of course you will have to pay a bit to get it done. Better still bring back to Nokia & get a firmware upgrade. That will reset the security code.

Sorry as this is the best of my knowledge. Anyone out there that knows more, pls help. Thanks.

I have looked to other forums and I found only: The sense of the sec. code is: Security. This means, no one can "crack" it (perhaps without cable and seeking to this, but you need much much know how for this).

Sorry, my opinion: You have no another choice. Go to a NSC and ask for a firmware upgrade (if you say, you have much software mistakes, this upgrade is for free). Normally stay your datas and pics at the phone. But with no guarantee. But in most cases this will be.

You sure you havent entered it 3 times and the phone has locked you out? if so, you need to contact your service provider and get your personal unlock code from them.

You could try this it may work.
Backup you phone with PcSuit and install a full version of Psiloc System Tools, use the format option of system tools to format your phone. If i remember correctly it doesnt ask for a security code to do a format like the *#7370# code does. If it does format then restore all data back to the phone except settings and your security code should be back to 12345. Hope it works.

My opinion is, a reset like 7370 wont not delete the sec. code.
These does only firmware-flashing.

A 7370 restores back to factory setting including security codes. Ive done about 10 of them and each time my security code goes back to 12345 with firmware 3.12 dont know about later firmware but i would have thought it was the same, maybe not.

To be honest, I can' t really remember either, but I seem to recall that when you do *#7370# the Sec.Code DOES go back to 12345.....

Try it, you won't lose anythin other than a few minutes, don't you think?? (That is if you BACKUP your phone first, of course...)

*#7370# onli works 4 7650 and 3650 dude, and 6610 is not in tis forum, get more detailed help in 6610 section.

yea, its a code to format ur fone, so it becomes like the state it was when u 1st bought it. u need to enter ur sec code to format using *#7370#.
