dct4 IMEI change is impossible.

The chip which holds the imei in dct4 is now OTP (One time programmable) which means it cannot be overwritten !!

BUT aying that imei ???????????????? can be written !

U can change imei by this program : (SP repair by log for dct4 phone 1.00) !!!Ok first u setup ur com port first then press F1 to read ur phone info then press F4 to make log then u must go and open the log file with notepad or wordpad then change the imei number and save the log file.Finally u must press F6 to repair sp by log then it will automaticly change the imei number!!!

Anyway repair by log requires a .def file...

I have no dct-4 here to test..
it looks for real....

ITS A DCT 4 SP UNLOCKER FROM DEJAN .

WHERE CAN YOU SEE SOMTHING ABOUT IMEI CHANGE !!!!

You said IMEI is in a OTP chip.
The firmware reads out the IMEI number from this chip.
But if you modify the firmware not to read IMEI from that OTP chip, but use a given IMEI number, then you have changed the phone's IMEI. The only problem is, that we have no disassembler for dct4 firmware, so we cannot crack it.

Or am I wrong?

I saw a website where they sold a modified version og the chip, and offered IMEI changing. Can't find it though...

Hey why say by log cannot change imei ?I don't have any dct-4 phone now so i cannot test it but u can try it!!And pls post result

@GeeZuz,

You are correct. There is a website (again I am afraid cant remember the URL but if i find will post here) who offer brand new OTP chips.

Which means that you buy the chip for $8 USD off them, and with that you get a selected list of 600 IMEI numbers. You then have to unsolder the original chip, fit the new chip and then write an IMEI to the chip (which is your one time programming).

Then you jsut start fone and its done, Only one problem i can see with this - if they only have 600 IMEI numbers, and they sell lots of chips, you will end up with duplicate IMEI number which could mean that the fone wont work !!!


Someone, somewhere will obviously find an easier way in the future, but for now its not worth the hassle !
