Does the 7650 have a chat function for sms?

No, I think that the 7650 does´nt support chat.
However there should be some progz that will give you the chat function...I have´nt found anything yet....let me know if you find something!

Why use SMS Chat where you are paying per SMS sent?!?

You can either use:
1) the default WAP browser in SERVICES folder and search for chats.
2) Wireless IRC: Various IRC Channels
3) IMplus: AOL, ICQ, YAHOO
4) TipicME: AOL, MSN, ICQ, YAHOO, JABBER

These methods connect via GPRS which only charges for the amount that you download.

I like TipicME because it's more "live" than IMplus. And you can see the real status of your contacts on AOL, MSN, YAHOO, ICQ and JABBER. Plus your status is more easily manageable.

Oh yeah... plus TipicME is FREE!! LOL:D
