hi dudes

I was given a Nokia 3310 by a friend. It has a weird fault. You can send and receive text messages OK and also make calls. But the audio only comes through in tiny bursts once every few seconds. You can't hear the guy at the other end and he can't hear you. I know that the speaker works because all the key tones etc. still come through and I know the RF part works because you can still send texts. The fault is so strange that I think the firmware must have got messed up. Does anyone know anything about this fault? Do you think that a full flash might fix it? Is there software I can download to flash the phone from my PC?

Thanks very much for your advice

what do you mean by 'change the RF'? I'm not prepared to swap the RF hardware modules as it is a very difficult job and I don't have any spare modules anyway. If you mean that I should change the radio settings in the firmware, could you give me some advice on how to do this?

have you tried sw reset with wintesla or nokia tool? this will reset rf levels to default. A friends phone had a similair fault just because he left his mobile in his car overnight, I done reset with wintesla and all ok...
