When a telecom circuit signal is established or continues to function, an acknowledgement or "ACK" is transmitted. When it is not completed or is interrupted, a non-acknowledgement or "NAK" is transmitted. Hence, ack-nak and the tie-in to telecommunications reliability and contingency planning. Some softwares also uses this protocol in RS232 comunications.

If you could tell me what is it that you are trying to connect, may be then I will be able to help you bit more. The error message 'not rcv ack ' as I understand is that the recipient device (where data is sent to) is not acknowledging that every thing is ok hence it can not continue to send any more data.
