You can only upgrade to 8250 if the 8210 is a ROM6,
ROM5's can't be upgraded, to check this use Logger by b-phreaks:)

Hiya,
I was talking to some one else and they said that you can upgrade a 8210 with rom 5 to an 8850 but when I tried it my phone did not turn back on !!!

I reflashed my back up and it is in working order as an 8210.
Ne ideas about upgrading 8210 rom5 to any other eeprom versions ?

Not 100% sure but 8210 > 8850 should work, but ive also read somewhere else in this forum (cant find the thread again, sorry) that there isnt any new features anyway,

Have a look around there is another thread about this.
