I've been using the 7650 a lot over the six weeks I've had it and wanted to share my views so far.
The camera can seem a little disappointing at first but if you have plenty of light and realise that it's a phone with a camera (and NOT the other way around !) then it's not that bad for a quick snap.
The must have software for this is certainly "Photographer". It fixes the "barrel effect" problem very well and corrects the Gamma in the corners too. The images are sharp and even the 400% zoom is very sharp too - some serious formulas at work in that I think ! I've not taken one single image with the built-in software since getting it - it's that much better.
As for video, it's a mixed bag.
Hantro 2.0 is very good but only 11seconds or so - quite smooth for movement and good resolution and colour.
Although the VideoMMS is worse quality it's variable data rate has given me clips of up to 1min 30secs or more !! It's just that much more jerky.
It'll be a case of whether you need quality or quantity - the good thing is the two of them post their .mp4 files to the same folder so it's easy to download them by irDa afterwards !!
All in all, this is only first-gen software so things will probably improve still more - I'm therefore more than happy with a very well used new toy !!
Any views ?
