I read on a website, that 7650 and 3650 was DCT-5?
Is that true?
What is actually "DCT"? is it a official conception Nokia made, or is it just a abbreviation normal people started to use, to separate the newer generation phones, from the older?

Hi,
No they are DCT4. Don't believe to all rubish you can read on the
Net.
DCT stands for Digital Core Technology - to be exact the structure
of the Baseband chip - MAD2 in dct3 and UPP in dct4.
You will find that Nokia is ashamed to call this chip Baseband, since
is more likely something made by Shitorola or Analog Devices to
be called like that :) Not Nokia custom made ASIC's (wow).
The difference in these 2 models is the type of the simlock, otherwise
they are normal dct4 handsets.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards

Ok thanks for the info.
It was actually a unlock clip, who had a switch to chose between DCT-4, and DCT-5 (7650 and 3650) mode.

I think you will find that they are DCT-4 Type 5 simlock whereby the other DCT4 are type 2 simlock.
