hi, actually what i wanted is to convert my 8210 (rom6) into 8855. i got the flash ic as demanded. but 1 prob i had is to remove the sealed cpu and bridge wire and then replace it. but in posts to 8210 to 8855 they also mentioned that it can be done without removing the cpu also. but it goes like this

"NOTICE: If your cpu is V16, you needn't remove it: from CPU No.1 point. (It's one the cpu's left, the sinus point), Now winddershins.. No.17 is G2, you can bridge it to A3. "

now thats what the prob is. i am not able to understand the last 2 lines. that is
#1. sinus point ???
#2. winddershins????

does it means that i have to get the 17th pin on the upper portion of the cpu,, but if it is so, then 17th from which point??

i am posting the full guide for 8210 to 8855, (may be for some help)

MATERIAL => TOR6 SCREW DRIVERS - BGA STATION -

IC'S => CPU V16 " 4370687 " AND FLASH MEMORY " 3204C3T "

SOFTWARE => FULLBACKUP 8855 ; ROLIS DCT3 FLASHER ; EEPROM TOOL'S ; XPMOBILE (SG) NOKIA DCT3 FLASH

STEPS POSTED BY GAVIN8112 =>

1. your cpu must v16(rom6),if not must change it. ( THIS CASE WE CHANGED FROM ROM5 TO ROM6 )

2. remove cpu(if your CPU isn't v16) and flash ic,bridge 2 wire from cpu to the flash ic(G2 to A3, A10 to D10).

3. change your flash ic to 3204C3T(4MB, 8855 is 4MB, 82xx is 2MB), you must have some soldring skill to do this.

4. use "XPmobile (SG) Nokia DCT3 flash" to flash the 8855 full fls to the phone, and use "NokTool 1.8 by Rolis" software to reset the phone, change IMEI what u want.

5. OK !!!! i have 8855 now!!

NOTICE: If your cpu is V16, you needn't remove it: from CPU No.1 point. (It's one the cpu's left, the sinus point), Now winddershins
No.17 is G2, you can bridge it to A3.

Hi.
What is the hardware difference between 8850 and 8855? Does cpu and flash is same? Also what is the main software difference between them?
Thanks.
