Just traded my 7650 for 3650 and im very happy with it. You can actually install and put everything in the mmc.

You should buy a 3650 if you really have a problem on your memory.All 7650 softwares works on 3650 and there is a 128 mb mmc available on the market right now and im buying one.Imagine all games and applications in your phone.

Yes... me too hate the looks of 3650.... and it's exposed lens have the probability that the lens will get scratched easily. Not to mention a circular keyboard ??? I don't like it....

If only there's a 7650i (with MMC memory module) hehehe...

A member of a german forum says, he has internal informations - and they are for his opinion 100% proof, we all can trust it - Nokia has a 7650 i at work or near final. But the release time will not be "by production", no it will be "by marketing". This means the following: If the sells from S/E with his P 800 model "full on the run" THEN release Nokia. If it do that earlier, it is very well, but the P 800 release gives the market a kick with the "new top phone" and the interest for the 7650 i will be degreases. Therefore makes S/E the first step and Nokia counter with his model.

Boys and girls, I must say, this sounds very logical. Ooh, I forgot the features for the i-model: new software, Triband, memory, battery.

And the releases seems to be march/april.

just go to www.google.com and type 7650i in the search engine... and you'll get lot's of responses... :):) maybe then you can decide wheter this is a rumor or true.... and 7650 is a dual band version. if nokia is planning to sell this to the US, then they'll have to make a three band version. maybe this is where the " i " version comes.
maybe they try it in dual band country to see if this product is accepted or not, then they'll release a three band version with more features (MMC... MMC... MMC... please MMC...) for the US market...

Hi,

f= 2,8 (3650) vs 3,5 (7650) means the "light-density". In this case the 3650 has a better CCD-chip and make a better quality under dark conditions.

I think, Nokia has its purchases changed to this better chip. But as for mass fabrication the new chip will be build in at all new models that comes (7650i too). I write to the owners in german forums, that they compare it both models and post here back agian.

Upgrade? In Germany we have contracts for over 2 years and it is not possible to change the current 7650. (not for extra money, too). Thats bullsh... because the development time of phones is actually the shortest at the hole technical market. Faster than computer. After the lifetime of 2 years by the contract our 7650 is like from "Flintstones" mean "stonetime".

3650 impression:
1.)hard for sms, the keypad sucks at first but actually im liking it now.
2.)memory is really great, you can install apps on the mmc. this is true , the thread that says it can't is wrong.
3.)as of now all 7650 software that i installed is working except for one. (snails)
4.)camera has a better focus(not much blurred on the side)
5.)mono sound but not bad. I got lot of mp3's and still have a high free memory.
6.)it has real one preloaded and xhtml browser, also wap 2.0
7.)camera lens is more safe than the 7650 , because u can easily replace the cover of the camera not like the 7650.

i'll test it more later!!!

i forgot to mention that it has a free 16 mb mmc in the box. Got my 128 mb mmc right now.

Hi, some comments from me:

Keypad: I must read often in some germans forums, that the handling of the keypad is a job not for hours - for days/weeks.

Memory: One post was from me. But I supposet only that is not possible. If this works - wunderful.

Camera lens: Yeah, the quality may be better - BUT you wrote: "more safe than the 7650 - cause u can easily replace the cover..." SORRY: This is nonsense. I haver read - often - that the lens is unsaved on the back - there is NO COVER for protection. What have you wrote????

Final: If you wrote about money, please think to "rest of the world" - pls. converse to $. Me and others cant understand the value of pesos.

the camera lens is safer because "i don't know in the other country" we have here in the philippines a small blue cover for the lens, thats what im talking about.

i aslo want to ask how do u make mp3go work coz installed mp3go on the mmc then i transfered mp3 songs to the inbox but i can't see the mp3 songs so i csn't add to playlist. how did u do it ? some info on this pls. thanks

sorry, sorry. I never heard from this "saver", I read only from a "unprotected" backside with the lens. Also an email posting between an user and the NOKIA Service speaks from the "naked" lens.

Than have you in your country a special solution. Congratulation to you.

images from ir---i forgot to try it yet but i will, i think there's a way to save it to the image folder ( i don't think that nokia remove that feature from 7650-3650 ) maybe u can use seleq and go to the mail and open it then save it. I can't try it now because im not home and im renting a computer right now and all the computers here dont have ir connection. I dont use mp3go for my mp3's but if you find a solution to transfer the file from the playlist pls inform me, i'll try mp3go later when im with my computer na. hi buchikin, may i ask you first if you're a filipino? Your avatar composed of - a flag of the philippines and a super model. Ok for your question, you can "install" apps on the 3650 MultiMedia Card. You have the option to install the file to the internal memory or the mmc. install not store but you can also store if for example your friends want that progy then use the mmc to carry the file especially if there are too many programs that they want. MMC is very handy.

the blue cover that im saying is "i think" not made by nokia and i don't know who made it. When im trading my 7650 , i ask the outlet if the lens has a cover because i dont want the lens to be exposed and eventually scratch but they say they have and i actually boughtit, it's not free. the cover attaches perfectly and i don't really care if this is for 3650 or not but it fits and thats the important thing. Thats why i said in my latter post that i dont know if the other countries have it. I can't post a picture right now because im not staying in my house. I only go home ones a week or sometimes one's every two weeks for my allowance. I view this forum everyday in internet cafe when im playing LAN counterstrike or warcraft and all computers here dont have infrared port. I live in an apartment with my friends because we are preparing for E.E. board exam this april. I'll send you a picture or post it here when i got home with my own pc that have an infrared port so just wait till then.

U mentioned earlied that we can avail free trade in as long as the 7650 is still under warranty. What are the terms in this offer? Will the replacing 3650 have warranty too? What do we need to bring? And last, where? Is this 100% sure? Does the semicon in glorietta offer the same promo?

Just want to comment regarding the mmc. Are u sure u can store applications in there? As far as I know, mmc is a storage card just like ur floppy or cd rw. In the case of the n3650, u can only store ur music files, video clips etc but not applications... Anyway, To apple4u gud luck on ur upcoming board exams... He he he....

thanks for the good luck! for your question , your right MMC is like ur floppy disk , but the question is "Can you run games and apps that are stored in it? The answer is yes. I always play games on floppy disk in the past. Do you ever heard of the super nintendo ufo attachment that you can actually store the games on floppy disk and play them. And as far as i know the internal memory of the 7650/3650 is a flash memory which is the same type as the MMC but im not sure about that.

okay for the cover i bought it at greenhills, but i think no one can offer you that if you will look for a 3650 lens cover. I think i have an idea for what this cover is really for but im not sure yet and i don't want to say anything if im not sure with it, after i confirm it i tell it to you. For the 3650 problem , i cant try it yet but i got a lot of information for our problem ,if the problem also applies with my phone because i didnt try it yet.In the other forum (aasymbian) some one confirm that mp3go and the new mp3 player works and also look at the mp3go info on the handago site and you can actually read that it is intended for the 3650 because you can use ur MMC , then it's possible. Another important thing is that there is a read/write drive for mmc so you can actually manipulate data without using your phone. I dont know if this drive is for pc but thats the only thing that i can think of. The image from ir problem is also a topic on the (aasymbian forum) so just watch that page and maybe some will come up with an idea. Pls inform me if you found any solution, Thanks!

i didn't try efilemanager yet so i don't know , but if you said i believe you, and also i use seleq for browsing my files! Try seleq and it should work. Wait a minute , that means you now have a 3650? did you buy one or trade it?

no i dont have a 3650. just tried it on my friends phone.
we installed mp3go and it worked perfectly... hehehe, mp3 player baby!

but the sound is mono, ow well right... phones are not built for those kind of stuff anyways... hehehe

If you really want a true music, you should install a Creative Prodigy on it. He he he.... Regarding the internal memory you mentioned, the built in flash memory should not be the same as the mmc because a flash memory is a read only memory and it can only be erased and rewritten electronically, that's why flash memories are called eeprom same as what we have on our phones. The flash memory (drive z on the n7650),is the one holding the mcu and ppm files needed to run your phone including the os....

just making it clear jackie_bebe you can't trade your 7650 for 3650 at semicon, what i said is that you upgrade your 7650 at semicon to the latest firmware before trading it with additional cash. The firmware upgrade is important so that you got a high price for your 7650 for the trade. got it, not free but free upgrade in semicon if you still have your warranty.
