PUK codes

Hi,

I was just wondering my phone is a 5110, my friend was trying to use it but put the pin code in 3 times wrong, now my SIM card is blocked, and it says to enter a PUK code, i rang my provider and they said to enter the 8 digit security #, but i dont have it?. What can i do to be able to use my SIM card again as it has all my important messages and alot of credit on it?

ask for puk code.
some sim's come with puk codes already, but some operators give it only when you need it.
otherwise, you have to ask new sim from you operator.
