Hello ACU/jits,

Musicmatch Jukebox is an award winning music software. It can convert songs to .mp3 (at different bitrates like 128kbps, 96kbps, 64kbps and even up to 8kbps), mp3PRO, .wav and etc. The latest version is 7.5 and you can download the trial version to this link.
http://musicmatch.com/download/free/?OS=pc&DID=999990944
I will pm you the key so you can register the program and avail of the many rich features.
The best thing here is you can also add plugins like DFX - a very powerful music enhancing software.

enjoy,

You can change the bitrate under the options menu recorder settings. For mp3, there are predefined bitrate settings for 128, 96, and 64kbps. But you can customize the setting up to 8kbps...

ok:
1) You need to create a folder on your harddrive where you want to save the mp3 files...(e.g. D:\mp3\kid rock)
2) Open musicmatch jukebox (it is better if you register the software first so you can avail of the full features like faster recording, volume leveling etc), but you can still record with trial version
3) Go to Options menu, click settings. There you will find submenus. On the Recorder submenu, choose the bitrate you want. I recommend the 16kbps (use 16kbps when you want to play with your N7650 but if you use it with your N3650, better record with 128kbps for better sound quality).
On the tracks directory, choose the path where you created your folder while ago. Other submenus are self explanatory (leave other settings to default). Go to the help section if you need detailed informations.
4) Now, click on the recorder button (red button) on the display menu. You will be presented with a separate window showing the tracks on your CD. Click only the songs/tracks you want to record. Recording speed ranges from 4X to as high as 24X (for the registered program). To start recording, click the record button.
5) Remember to rename the recorded track/s later on because musicmatch will not automatically give title to the songs you recorded.
6) You're done..

Do not choose Line In unless you have an external source (audio input). Instead, choose the drive where your CD is located (e.g F: or G:). To verify if you chose the correct source, another window pops up showing the tracks on your CD...

the source means the location of your original song (from a Compact Disc) and the tracks directory refers to the destination of your recorded song, that is your harddrive - as i have told u.. Am not saying to place your mp3 into a cd...
anyway, here is a screenshot of some of the settings.
huh....
