Hi,
first - your Nick is "Cell-Technician". Why?
I'm not an electronic specialist, but I know all what you want to know.
The Eeprom is this chip at the phone, where the OS (Symbian 6.1) burned in is. You cannot without an Eeprom-writer (=burner) any edits or deletings do.
If you have an Eeprom-write is it good, to copy the content from this to a blank Eeprom = you get a "safety copy".
If you insert to the phone an another eeprom (blank) it will not boot. Shure.
This other "drives" at the phone, C: and D: are RAM chips, you can delete and edit all the content. BUT for a working phone, the 2 folders, that come with the firmware from Nokia, "Nokia" and "System" must be stay, because it is important for working.
