IVE FOUND A WEB SITE THAT SELL IMEI CHANGING SOFTWARE FOR DCT4 PHONES.

FAKE, all it does is somehow is to change the *#06# version of the IMEI not the bit we are all after in changing.

Okey, so this means that even if you change the *#06#-imei, the phone is still barred? You can't make a phonecall, right?

As like the DCT-3 nokia phones the IMEI is stored in 2 place's, 1 real and 1 for show, this only change's the 1 for show.

I mean, even if you change the imei for show?

The phone is still barred, so you need to change the UEM chip and put new IMEI number in to un bar it.

Ok this is the kinda thing i've been looking for.

If that software can patch the phones Flash, i might be able to decompile it and actually do what dave intended on doing.

Anyone know what language it was written in?

As you know, the DCT4 phones flash is encoded. To do ANYTHING you first need to decode the flash. So whoever wrote that program must have decoded part of the flash. So if we can get the source code, we can then pick up where that guy left off

Think. What was the meaning of partial flashing? To force the phone to read the MSID from another place. If we could force the soft of a DCT4 to read the IMEI from another place than the UEM chip we're done. These Nokias don't even charge battery without software :) Shure this can be done.

a. Get a newish nokia DCT4 flash (software)
b. Decode it.

Then were rolling :D
