Hi,

I'm using a Billionton BT USB dongle which support Object Push Profile to connect to my 7650. I don't have any problem sending files (.mid, .jar, .sis, .jp and etc.) from BT neighbourhood or explorer SEND TO menu to phone but when i tried to send any files from phone to PC, i got the error "sending failed"

I'm using Windows XP with Service pack 1.

But I do have problem when i try to connect manually to the bluetooth serial port in BT neighbourhood, it gives this message "The Bluetooth Serial Port connection failed: The remote device closed the connection" but i can still send files to the phone.

Does anyone encountered the same problem before?

thanks...

P/S: Nokia 7650 Suite works fine for me either via IrDA or BT.

regards,
vipervr

Go to START>RUN> type regedit.exe then ok
this starts the system registry.
from here, go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>Widcomm>BT Config>Services>0004>
choose AcceptOther then change the value from 0 to 1.

do the same for:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Widcomm>BT Config>Services>0004>AccpetOther

Well, i've checked in the registry, i have no AcceptOther key there, but anyway, i've downloaded the latest driver from Billionton' Website 1.3.2.7, which according to those ppl in Allaboutsymbian.com forum it works flawlessly...

Will try out and update you guys.

thanks.

installed Billionton 1.3.2.7 driver, it works perfectly. As for Nokia PC Suite, just use the BT systray icon to connect to the bluetooth serial port and you won't have any error message on your phone or PC. It's awesome...

@ alfonso
Not directly, only third party progs - i use MSI dongle and it works fine
Battery consumption only BT is active (sending, receiving) in idle state you can neglect it

hi,

i did encounter same problem with my msi BT for any file I tried to send. It seems this is a bug of the 7650 that it cannot send files to PC...

@ACU:
do not connect a serial port from BT to PC when u want to transfer files. just open the BT tray and send (btw: did u cahnge the values of the AcceptOther from 0 to 1 already?)
