Hello again,

Thanks for the tips about simemu, but what about all the other cards ? (meaning Blue/Gold/Funcards/Juppiter) I've seen software arround the net like CardWriter, PonyProg, Chipcat that are saying they are able to program a wide range of cards (including the above). The main difference of these software with SimEmu is that simemu is easier to use for cloning but the others are for general programming usage ? Is there a version of simemu (or other same kind o software) for gold cards ?

thanks in advance,
Ekonomi.

Ok.. I think i've understood what's going on with "how do i pick the right card". It's all about what you need since each card has different memory size and microprocessor.

Now the problem that i have is with MasterCRD and sim_scan. Sim_scan doesn't get any response from my sim. When I request for ATR is exits the program with an error saying that it didn't get an answer for the atr (propably timeout). Has anyone tried sim_scan with mastercrd and had the same problem ? If the reader is incompatible with the software do you know any other free software that can extract imsi and ki from the sim ?

thanks in advance,
ekonomi.

Hi ekonomi,

You have three possibles ways:

1º You can use PIC basaded cards: GoldCard, SilverCard, GreenCard.

2º You can use Atmel basaded cards: FUNCard.

3º By a special Pack with reader and special SIM "Multinumber".

I think the better solution is the first. Why? Because it´s more flexible that the others. There is a emulator of SIM for the PIC Card called SIMEMU. Is the better emulator. To use you need a programer of PICs. You must programer the PIC. (TE-20, or other).

The emulador for the Atmel is the FunSIM. Now This is Beta version. . I don´t try but I think is better SIMEMU.

Other question is extract your data of the original card. For this have two possibles ways:

1º Phoenix/smarmouse compatible device. (For example dejan device)

2º PC/SC reader.

There is 4 or 5 programs that extract the Ki form SIM.
SIM_SCAN (only works with phoenix)
Cardinal Ki_Extractor (Phoenix and PC/SC)
SIM Master (Phoenix)
XSim (Phoenix , PC/SC (in the future))

You need extract the Ki of original SIM to clone card.
I think (for the moment  ) is more easy extract the Ki with cardinal because the SIM_SCAN is MS-DOS program and have a lot of problems in windows.

¿Have you a reader compatible with phoenix?

Best Regards,
Sir Graham.

Hello again ;)

I've got a phoenix reader/writer. I've managed to find Ki and IMSI
with Cardinal (pure and legal imsi). I generate pic and eprom
.hex files with twinsim but when i try to convert the eprom.hex
to bin i get errors. I can't find simemu for green cards, if
anyone has a url (simemu.com doesn't have a link for green
cards) for download it would help. I've got only gold and green
cards so i can't use simemu500 for silvercards.

regards,
ekonomi.
