Hi Everyone. This is a great site.

In regard to *#639# it is a quick programming function.

After entering *#639# you will be asked for a phone number. Like mentioned previously this is the area code and phone number that you want to program in the the phone. Press OK and you are asked for a code. This is the "Home SID" (system ID number). It varies depending on what area you are in and what company is your service provider. It's a five digit number.

Using this method only changes the phone number and SID. The rest of the phone programming and memory remains the same.

*#639# by default programs NAM 1. So will *#6391#

You can use *#6392# for quick access to NAM 2 if you have more than one number for your phone. A number programmed into NAM 2 still uses the IRDB and user settings as NAM 1.
