Yea, it doesnt do faid update. Its like going in there with a hex editor. The lifetimer software in there is interesting. I wonder if the esn change function in it works or if its fake.

to all new memebers , if u have time to read all past posts u can know all that tests was doing many many time ago for members like ismael ,green , me , and many others....with any existing stand alone software u can do that , the feature epromm read in NSP isnt to change ESN

is very interesting that the software can change the ESN directly, you don`t need hex editor or something similar. we are near !!!!

The software changes the esn in the same way that it changes the locks and this thing has been out for a while. Still you can't say that with this software available to everyone we are not at least a bit closer to customisation and identity change. Its a good thing.

The change of ESN for Nokia don't because the phone is dead for the fault of cheksum....

Control SUM ??? It's very interesting because may be than some ESNs has equals control sum.
And this program changed current ESN, but original ESN is OLDER...
If write old ESN - phone fully worked...

I research about Nokia TDMA found for about 2 years and I found that the ESN has a checksum inside EEPROM and the phone has a authentication chip (N250 on TDMA phone and D201 on CDMA one). Authority ID in Wintesla

Authority ID in Wintesla just authenticate EEPROM and Flash Memory, not N250. I think that there must be some way to change ESN without change N250, but I don´t know how.

N250 (aka Cobba) is a chip beside CCONT IC. It's the audio and signal control and it authenticate the ESN too.

basically u found out what i know and have been saying. Cobba ID (can be gotten in an mbus command or from MSID on GSM) + PPM CRC calculated by MAD + ESN combined in some formula = FAID.
