On your pc, go to file>setup>connectionsettings and click on the IrDA. Click Both the Tiny Tp Settings box and the Ircomm srttings box. This should ensure that one of the will work. Click OK.
Now on the the main screen it should say:
Status
IrDA TinyTP:16 []
Irda IrCOMM []
Make sure the boxes under status have ticks in them, if not then select them.
Before activating the IR on your fone, make sure that if you have mRouter installed on ur PC for Nokia Suite that u disable the IR link or it will not work.
Now connect to the PC with IR and open application on fone
Select options>infrared>Direct(TinyTP) and hey presto it shud work.
Try IrCOMM if TINYTP doesnt work, but this is slower.

Thank you BOB 7650..... finally it worked. A bit slow but it's worth it. Thanks again I really appreciate it.

Impossible.... must work if you follow BOB's instructions.
What I was doing wrong: I didn't press connectivity/Infrared 1st from the phone. Thought that because infrared starts from Remote S60 wasn't needed.
1. Start Remote S60 from pc (file/setup/IrDA) check all and press ok.
2. From phone Connectivity/Infrared
3. From phone start Remote S60/options/Infrared and choose one. If not working choose the other one.
Good luck

Hi all. I have used Remote S 60 perfectly via Infrared, and it works slow yet effective. Even trasnferred some Pocket Nancy videos and saved them. I dont have bluetooth yet, and I wanted to know how the TCP/IP works. I dialled up like the instructions have said and nothing, no connection from my PC or my phone. I waited more than 2 mins, surely it should have worked. Please someone explain how the TCP/IP works?

Guys ... try it like this.
1. First open RS60 on your PC
2. Go to File - > Setup, then IRDA, and enable IRComm and check the autoopen on start check box. Close RS60
3. Open RS60 on your PC again and it will say listening.
4. Open RS60 on your phone 7650 and go to Options - > Infrared -> and Choose Serial IRComm and point the phone to your IR Port at a very close distance
In a couple of seconds, your RS60 window on your PC will show the screen og your phone.
NOW ... can someone tell me how the TCP/IP settings work ?

open the nokia pc suite mrouter icon found on the right
of your desktop near the time and date in your pc.
right click and click properties. u will see the connections, deselect
infra red. then re start connection wth rs60 using infra red and
also on your phone. if using blue tooth, disable all blue tooth
connection at the pc mrouter agai, re connect usng serial ircomm
at rs60 apps in the pc and then on the phone.
the clue is DISABLE MROUTER, THE ONE ON YOUR COMPUTER THAT LOOKS LIKE TWO CABLE CONNECTORS.:D :D :D :D  :-D
