Bluetooth/7650/Malaysia

just like to get these information from u guys from malaysia..

anyone of u guys using a USB bluetooth device on XP OS to talk to ur 7650 ??

i'm looking forward to buy 1 but am afraid to just simply buy ... any suggestion guys ???

I'm running Windows 2003 .NET Server (next Microsoft OS based on XP) and have USB Bluetooth working great, no problems. If your bluetooth device has Win2000 drivers it will work. Don't worry, buy it.

I have a MSI BT dongle and XP - it work fine if you can connect both devices, sometimes i have some troubles, but it works.

I'm using an USB IrDA with Windows ME.

So far so good for me.

No experience on Bluetooth but I guess by plugging into a USB port & installing its SW, it should be able to work. Unless the 7650 is not willing to recognize the bluetooth dongle.

Pls note that it was Ericsson (now Sony Ericsson) that developed together with the Bluetooth company. It seems that Nokia is a bit unhappy about it & is trying to avoid it. That is one reason why the 7650 is without Bluetooth audio. At that time, only Ericsson Bluetooth earpiece was available. They want us to wait for a Nokia B-Earpiece. So they figured that by the time they released one, most 7650 users will already get a newer model....(hint! hint! 3650?).

So do give it a try.

Malaysian here, but I am now in UK. I am using EIO Wavelinker USB Bluetooth Dongle (£27) which I bought it from Dabs.com

Using Windows XP. Tried it with most of the softwares out there, no problem, works perfectly and fast!

actually i have try IRDA on XP and win2k .... no problem ...

just that wanna test using Bluetooth cuz ..... the line of sight requirement for IRDA is sometimes bothering me :)

I use WinME/IrDA & Win98/IrDA... Works fine.. no problems.. although never tried BT...

DUN SAID NOKIA IS UNHAPPY ABOUT IT, THIS JUST BUSINESS STRATEGIC. NOKIA 8910 CAN USE MOTOROLA BT HANFREE. WE WILL GET A UPDATE ON 7650 WHICH SUPPORT AUDIO PROFILE, JUST WAIT NOKIA BT HANDFREE COMMING OUT, AND 7650 NEW S/W WILL SUPPORT IT

not support yet, this info is from nokia, i also dun know is true or not, maybe they are testing right know, i think have 2 wait nokia bt handfree on sales then we know.
