try changing the nhm bit then some programs like knok dont recognise it and cant flash it, but little point really

with this method , PPMedit to does't show the bitmap funtions, so it will be like a LOCK, like in project Z and other flash file that is lock like evil NEO file.

yep but anyone with an ounce of brain could rename the nhm thats changed and stuff just by comparing it with another clean flash of same make and model
but either way its what the dude up there ^^^ wanted to know :)

yes you are rigth but it have other effect to , i have done it change the NSM-3D to V I P E R , and in logomanager it can't take any logo out, in cellular essential or oxigen phone manager it wil be error .
so i rather not use this LOCK , because have many lost for me.
i can easyly open the LOCK like this it simple, if we know our Toy HEXSHOP:D :p :D

Nokia created a checksum to stop us (the public) flashing fones with modified software, but once the algo for the checksum was discovered people made programs to correct them, namely joox and g3gg0 but also others.
This simply means once you have corrected (or killed meaning never need to be corrected again) the checksums the fone will work as before with your modifications, yet if you modify again the checksums will need to be corrected again, obviously unless they are killed as stated above...
Hope this answers your question

Ohhh like that.
It mean u can't modify the killed fls,
cos when modify u must correct the chksum.
So when i kill n flash to phone,
than read it back to fls file.
Is that use normally when i write the fls file
to other phone?
(it also want update FAID)

even LogoManager and other phone managing software will not recognize the fone... so it's not really advisable to change the fone type.
