Hi there, If it's anything like vodafone uk you'll need to create a new access point and the apn needs to be internet. All the other options can be left alone (ie no entry)
It will use the same apn that you would use to access gprs from ur computer over ir or bt. So you need to check with ur service provider that you have this enabled as some networks only setup the wap access point by default.
zero.
i don't understand what you are saying, i have 2 access points from vodafone live. one normal and one mms. those have a green G infront of them. they are listed under access points. but there is a menu gprs also but there it says access point none. i can use vodafone live sites but i want also IM+ can anybody help?

As I've only roamed on Vodafone NL, I can only tell you how it works with Vodafone UK. Although my gprs internet access point worked fine over there.
Basically this is what you need to do.
Go to settings/Access points
options/New access point/Use default settings
Don't change anything other than the access point name.
Type "internet" without the quotes into the access point name box. (you could change the connection name to whatever you like)
The GPRS menu that you mention is the access point that the phone uses when you use ur phone as a modem for your pc. In the UK this also has to be called internet.
You need to check with your billing company that you have this type of gprs enabled...cause it allows for you to use a lot of meg, quickly. And in the UK they just set up an overpriced pay as you go gprs with no inclusive meg when you set it up unless you specify otherwise.
I've also seen a post that mentioned using a copy of ur current vodafone live! settings but remove the homepage. When IM asks for a connection choose this one.
It will definitely work with tht internet access point if that's what voda nl use and you have it enabled on ur account.
Hope you get it sorted.
