Of course you have to program it. Do you think they sell those IC's preprogrammed with Nokia DCT4 calculating hexes?
They don't :D :D :D
You program it before you put it onto the pcb.

1. PIC IC :-D :-D
2. Programmer like JDM, VP20
3. Hex file, which is to be programmed to the chip.

In Dongle for DCT4 calculator isn't PIC but AT89C4051 ;)

If you have good HEX for this Dongle please send me one on e-mail :)
